The Sha'alvim for Women Experience: Life on Campus
At SFW, your “classroom” extends far beyond the walls of the campus. Located in the beautiful Malcha neighborhood, our students experience a unique blend of high-level academic focus and the unparalleled energy of Jerusalem.
The atmosphere at SFW is one of warmth and empowerment, where you can forge lifelong friendships while living in the spiritual epicenter of the Jewish people. Here, the hum of the city and the quiet of the Beit Midrash work together to ignite your personal growth.
Life at SFW
-
Your Jerusalem Sanctuary: Our dorms are designed to be your comfortable home base. Each air-conditioned room houses three to four students and features a private bathroom and shower, offering a secure and serene space to recharge after a day of learning or exploring the city.
-
Dining & Local Flavor: We provide three fresh, balanced meals daily in our dining hall. Being in the city also means convenience; students have easy access to local shops and the nearby Malcha Mall for essentials, providing a sense of independence and integration into Israeli life.
-
Safety & Serenity: While we are in the heart of Jerusalem, the Malcha neighborhood is known for its peaceful, residential feel. Enjoy the tree-lined streets, local parks, and the security of a campus that feels like a quiet sanctuary within the bustling capital.
Explore, Experience, Ignite
Jerusalem is the ultimate backdrop for a year of discovery. Our carefully curated tiyulim and Shabbatonim take on a deeper meaning when you live just minutes away from the sites of the Tanach.
From walking to the Kotel for Vatikin to exploring the hidden gems of Jerusalem’s diverse neighborhoods, SFW ensures that your connection to Am Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael is a lived, daily experience.

Night Seder & Shiurim
Everything we do at Sha’alvim for Women is geared towards helping you acquire and deepen your Torah knowledge and skills that you will take with you well beyond your “year in Israel.” Night Seder is, of course, no exception.
For two hours every night, you will learn the sefarim of your choosing with your chavrusa in the Beis Midrash surrounded by Shana Aleph and Shana Bet students, madrichot, teachers and administrators.
By design, we do not have a unique Night Seder faculty; rather, the same, incredible faculty you learn and grow with during the day, is there, at night assisting your learning.
The beautiful “Kol Shel Torah” is unforgettable! And the deep and broad Torah learning and skills are critical: after your time in SFW is over, you will apply those skills and habits to continue your high-level, independent learning in your life in university and beyond!
Optional Shiurim
